Ethical Complaints The Arizona Association of School Psychologist is so sorry to hear you are having a problem with a school psychologist. AASP does not adjudicate ethical complaints for school psychologist. If you have questions please contact our Professional Standards Chair, Jennifer Kirkpatrick (jennifer.kirkpatrick@aasp-az.org) Do you have an ethical complaint that you haven't been able to resolve with the school psychologist? AASP first recommends working with the school team and school/district administration to find a solution. If are unable to do resolve the issue we have included some resources below for you.
If the psychologist is a PhD level psychologist and licensed in Arizona (License # Lookup) You can make a complaint to the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners. If the psychologist is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) (Verify NCSP status) You may get more information about filing a complaint on the National School Psychologist Association website. If the school psychologist is an AZ State Certified School Psychologist (Certification Look-up) You can file a complaint with the Arizona State Board of Education here. |
