2024-25 Membership Categories

  • EARLY CAREER YEAR 1 and EARLY CAREER YEAR 2 category offering new school psychologist professionals a discounted membership rate for their first two years in the profession. We hope this category assists graduate students become active or stay active in AASP as they start their careers.
  • STUDENT MEMBERSHIP will now have voting privileges for elections and other members-at-large ballots on policy changes. We strive to hear all of our member’s voices as we make critical decisions impacting our profession.
  • The FULL MEMBERSHIP category is now called REGULAR Membership to be consistent with NASP.
  • STUDENT ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP category to encourage undergraduate and graduate students not in school psychology programs to join AASP and consider careers in school psychology programs. As we expand our Exposure Project activities and other outreach, we hope to develop a more diverse and inclusive workforce pipeline into the profession.

Membership Benefits:

Networking & Collegiality

School psychology is a field quite different from others. We have a very specific experience in the school system. We are not administrators and we are not teachers. We are an island. To be able to meet and connect with our peers that have a unique understanding of our work experiences is invaluable in keeping sane and not burning out.

Professional Development

When you become a member of the Arizona Association of School Psychologists, you have access to professional development opportunities such as:

·         Significantly discounted rates for the AASP Conference.

·         Regional trainings for little to no cost

·         Listings of other ASU/NASP/ADE trainings

·         NASP approved CEU's which are important for maintaining your Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NSCP) credential

Advocacy

Benefits of being a member aren't just what our organization can do for you, it's also about what we, all together, can do with our collective voices. School Psychology is at an important juncture. Laws dictate so much of what we do and how we can help children. The only way to change the system is to take the responsibility upon ourselves to advocate for change.

  • AASP is bringing advocacy to the forefront of our focus as an organization. We are looking to establish the important connections needed to further the interests of school psychologists and to produce better outcomes for kids.
