Two ADE Certified K-12 School Psychologists Needed

Join our dynamic educational team as a School Psychologist, where you will play a vital role in supporting students’ mental health, behavioral development, and academic success. In this energetic and impactful position, you will assess student needs, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to foster a positive learning environment. Your expertise will help identify challenges early and implement strategies that promote resilience and growth for students with diverse needs.

In this role, you will:

· Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students.

· Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.

· Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on child & family counseling, social skills, and behavioral health.

· Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create effective behavior management and safety plans.

· Offer crisis intervention and conflict management support during emergencies or behavioral incidents.

· Facilitate early intervention programs for students with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.

· Maintain accurate medical documentation, psychological testing records, and progress notes in compliance with school policies.

· Support staff training on applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work strategies, and crisis management techniques.

To fill this role, you need:

· Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field; Master’s degree or higher in school psychology preferred.

· Valid school psychologist certification or license as required by local regulations.

· Proven experience working with children in educational settings or similar environments.

· Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and disability accommodations.

· Expertise in psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, and patient assessment techniques.

· Familiarity with behavioral health practices including psychotherapy, behavior management, and crisis intervention.

· Ability to work effectively with students with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delays.

· Excellent conflict management skills combined with compassionate communication abilities.

Seeking a certified or licensed School Psychologist to serve as Faculty to contribute to the teaching, scholarship, and service expectations of the College. The Faculty role will develop and provide instruction that incorporates current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual’s teaching assignment.

What you will do:
Teach in School Psychology, Psychology, or Behavioral Health Science within the prescribed curriculum online and on-ground.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within School Psychology, Psychology, or Behavioral Health Science, meeting the required course load requirements.
Utilize best practices pedagogy during instruction.
Assess learners through formative and summative practices.
Support the School Psychology Program through course development, course revisions, development and revision of program student handbook, and practicum and internship student experience.
Support the accreditation process for the School Psychology Program from Candidacy status to full accreditation.
Support administrative aspects related to maintaining School Psychology accreditation.
Remain current with new trends and developments in School Psychology and the behavioral health fields.
 Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:
Doctoral degree.
Active certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
Three to five years of experience serving as a School Psychologist.
 Specialized knowledge of the School Psychology discipline.
 Evidence of involvement in one's professional area (e.g., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications).
 Must successfully pass a background check.
 Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Bonus:
Teaching experience at a college level preferred.
Previous supervisory/management experience.
