Be a [deep] Influencer : An Overview of Systems-think, MTSS, and How to Nudge for Systems Change

In this presentation we will delve into some of the foundational principles of adaptive leadership and systems change. We will then use those principles to guide a discussion around the implementation of PBIS/MTSS-B and explore the integration of mental health services through Interconnected Systems Framework.

Workshop Objectives:

1. -Develop an awareness of adaptive leadership and how to prime for change
2. -Develop an awareness of systems change mechanisms and recognize the value of team-based leadership structures
3. Overview PBIS/MTSS-B implementation at district and school-wide level
4. Explore Interconnected Systems Framework for mental health integration and review brief exemplar

Brief Bio of Presenter:

Tiago lives in the beautiful, and sometimes frozen, Southwest Michigan with his wife and two children, where they enjoy hiking, camping, and biking. Professionally, Tiago serves as a PBIS Coordinator and school psychologist in the same area -- he enjoys helping schools develop systems to sustain a healthier and inclusive culture, as well as design safe and predictable educational experiences for all students.
