Speaker bio:
Dr. Dania Forte is currently the Coordinator of Psychological Services at Mesa Public Schools (MPS) and an Adjunct Professor for the UA-Chandler Ed.S. Program in School Psychology. Dr. Forte received her B.S. in Psychology from Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, Arizona, and her M.Ed. and Ph.D. from the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Forte worked in public schools as a School Psychologist for 10 years before becoming the lead school psychologist in Mesa. She is now in her 12th year in the field. As a bilingual school psychologist herself, Dr. Forte is passionate about conducting comprehensive and appropriate evaluations for students from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has worked extensively on the bilingual evaluation team at MPS to establish procedures that align with best practice for CLD evaluations. Dr. Forte loves working with and training students who are interested in the field of school psychology and has supervised undergraduate interns, practicum students, and graduate level interns for several years. In her personal life, Dr. Forte is a new mom, having had a baby girl in February of this year (2023).
